Multi-Timeframe RSI Indicator MT4 – Dashboard Free Download

A standard RSI on a single timeframe is useful. RSI on every timeframe simultaneously is transformative. The Multi-Timeframe RSI Dashboard puts the RSI value for M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, and W1 all on a single chart panel, colour-coded by reading. Instead of flipping between timeframe windows to check momentum confluence, you read it in two seconds.

I run this dashboard on every chart I trade. The single biggest reason: it eliminates the “I forgot to check the higher timeframe” trade — the most common avoidable loss in oscillator trading.

What is the Multi-Timeframe RSI Dashboard?

The dashboard calculates RSI(14) on every standard MT4 timeframe simultaneously and displays the values in a colour-coded panel anchored to your current chart. Green = above 50 (bullish bias), red = below 50 (bearish bias), with darker shades when RSI breaches 70 or 30.

The current bar’s RSI updates in real time on every timeframe. Closed bars are locked in (non-repainting). The dashboard occupies a small corner of your chart — typically 200×280 pixels — and doesn’t interfere with price action analysis.

The point isn’t to replace single-timeframe RSI; it’s to give you the higher-timeframe context without leaving your trading chart.

How the MTF RSI Dashboard Works

The dashboard typically displays:

Timeframe RSI Value Colour
W1 58.2 Green (bullish)
D1 62.4 Green (bullish)
H4 67.8 Green (bullish)
H1 71.3 Dark green (overbought)
M30 65.1 Green
M15 58.7 Green
M5 52.4 Light green

This example shows confluence — every timeframe is bullish. That’s a strong tailwind for long entries on H1 or below. If H1 was 71 (overbought) but D1 was 35 (bearish), the conflict would warn you against taking the H1 long.

Three patterns matter:

Full alignment — every timeframe on the same side of 50. Strongest signal type, take entries aggressively.

Higher-timeframe alignment with lower-timeframe pullback — H4 and D1 bullish; H1 and M15 dipping below 50. Classic pullback-entry setup in the trend.

Conflict — half timeframes bullish, half bearish. Don’t trade. Wait for resolution.

Key Features

  • RSI on 7 timeframes (M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1) in one panel

Best Settings for the Dashboard

Parameter Default Conservative Aggressive
RSI Period 14 21 9
OB Level 70 75 65
OS Level 30 25 35
Timeframes Shown M5-W1 H1-W1 only M1-W1

Recommended starting point: Default 14-period with 70/30 levels showing all 7 timeframes.

Pros and Cons

Pros Cons
Eliminates time spent flipping between timeframe charts Requires custom indicator install (not built into MT4)
Surfaces confluence opportunities you’d miss with single-timeframe RSI Dashboard panel takes up chart space (typically corner-mounted)
Forces you to consider higher timeframes before every trade Can become a crutch – traders rely on it without reading the chart properly
Real-time updates, non-repainting on closed bars Heavier than a single RSI – small CPU overhead

Trading Strategy: Confluence Confirmation

Setup: MTF RSI Dashboard. Standard RSI(14) on your trading timeframe (e.g., H1).

Long Entry Rules:
1. D1 RSI is above 50 (long-term bullish)
2. H4 RSI is above 50 (medium-term bullish)
3. H1 RSI dips below 40 then crosses back above (pullback entry)
4. M5 and M15 RSI also above 50 (short-term momentum aligned)
5. Enter long on H1 candle close

Short Entry Rules:
1. D1 RSI below 50
2. H4 RSI below 50
3. H1 RSI rallies above 60 then crosses back below
4. M5 and M15 RSI also below 50
5. Enter short on H1 close

Stop Loss: Beyond recent swing extreme.

Take Profit: 1:2 R:R or trail by H4 RSI back-cross of 50.

The strict alignment rules cut trade frequency dramatically — typically 1-3 setups per week per pair — but the win rate and average R compensate.
