The Invisible Problem Killing Your Trend Trading...

If you've ever tried to catch trends with SuperTrend alone, you already know the pain.

The Reality: Trading trends without confluence is gambling with a directional bias. SuperTrend alone will whipsaw you in ranging markets, cost you in false breakouts, and give you no way to distinguish a high-quality trend from noise. You need a system that measures trend quality in real time, requires multiple independent filters to agree before any signal fires, and shows you — at a glance — whether the conditions are actually worth trading. Without that, you're making discretionary decisions disguised as systematic trading.
The Solution: What if your indicator could measure trend quality with a 4-factor composite score, require your EMA Cloud, ADX, and higher timeframe to all agree before any signal fires, and rate every signal's strength on a 3-star scale so you instantly know whether to trade it aggressively, cautiously, or not at all? What if it showed you all of this in a single, comprehensive dashboard — and alerted you the moment all filters aligned? That's exactly what Trend Quorum was built to do.

Introducing Trend Quorum

Adaptive SuperTrend meets multi-layer confluence filtering — in a single, professional TradingView indicator.

"I used to take every SuperTrend flip as a signal. My win rate was barely 40%. Once I started requiring EMA Cloud alignment, ADX confirmation, and higher-timeframe agreement before entering, my win rate jumped to over 65% — and my average winner got bigger because I was only trading strong, confirmed trends. The confluence filter isn't just a feature. It's the entire difference between gambling and trading."

The Trend Quorum Indicator is built around a proprietary Trend Quality Index (TQI) — a 4-factor composite score that measures Efficiency Ratio, Volatility Regime, Price Structure, and Momentum in real time. The TQI modulates the SuperTrend's ATR bands dynamically: when trend quality is high, bands tighten to stay close to price; when quality collapses, bands widen to avoid whipsaws. This adaptive engine is the foundation of every signal.

But the real power is the confluence gating system. Before any BUY or SELL signal is allowed to fire, it must pass through up to 4 independent filters: the EMA Cloud must confirm direction, the ADX must confirm a trending environment, and the higher-timeframe SuperTrend must agree. Each filter you enable adds another layer of quality control. The result? Fewer signals, but dramatically higher-quality ones — with a star rating that tells you exactly how strong the confluence is on every single trade.

Key Features — Adaptive SuperTrend, Confluence Filters & 11 Alerts

Everything you need to filter noise, confirm trends, and trade with conviction.

📊

Trend Quality Index (TQI)

A proprietary 4-factor composite score that measures trend health in real time. The TQI combines Efficiency Ratio (directional movement vs. total movement), Volatility Regime (normalized ATR), Price Structure (position relative to moving averages), and Momentum (rate of change). The score dynamically modulates the SuperTrend bands — tightening in strong trends, widening in choppy conditions. You always know exactly how healthy the current trend is, from 0.0 (pure noise) to 1.0 (clean, directional momentum).

☁️

EMA Cloud Filter

A fast/slow EMA pair creates a visual cloud fill on your chart. When the fast EMA is above the slow EMA, the cloud is bullish (green). When below, it's bearish (red). As a confluence filter, the EMA Cloud gates every signal: BUY signals only fire when the cloud is bullish, and SELL signals only fire when the cloud is bearish. This eliminates counter-trend entries and keeps you aligned with the intermediate directional bias. Toggle it on or off — your choice.

💪

ADX Trend Strength

The Average Directional Index measures whether the market is actually trending or just ranging. When ADX is above your configured threshold (default 20), the environment is trending and signals are allowed through. When ADX is below the threshold, the market is ranging — and signals are blocked to prevent whipsaw entries. This single filter eliminates the most common SuperTrend failure mode: getting chopped up in sideways markets where no trend exists.

🔄

Multi-Timeframe Confirmation

The higher-timeframe (HTF) filter runs the same SuperTrend calculation on a higher timeframe and requires it to agree with your chart's signal direction. If you're on M15 and the H1 SuperTrend is bearish, no BUY signal will fire — period. The HTF is auto-selected based on your chart timeframe (or manually configurable), uses non-repainting data with lookahead: barmerge.lookahead_off, and ensures you're always trading with the bigger picture, not against it.

Signal Strength Rating

Every signal that fires is automatically rated based on how many confluence factors agree. A 4/4 confluence count earns a ★★★ Strong rating — all filters aligned, highest probability. A 3/4 count earns ★★ Medium — solid but missing one confirmation. A 1-2/4 count earns ★ Weak — the SuperTrend flipped but the filters disagree. The star rating appears directly on the signal label, so you know instantly whether to trade aggressively, cautiously, or sit on your hands.

11 Alert Conditions

Full TradingView alert integration with 11 distinct conditions: Buy Signal, Sell Signal, Any Signal, Trend Change Bullish, Trend Change Bearish, TP1 Hit, TP2 Hit, TP3 Hit, Stop Loss Hit, TQI High (above 0.7), and TQI Low (below 0.3). Every alert includes a detailed message with signal direction, strength rating, TQI score, and price levels. Webhook-ready JSON output for automation. Connect to email, push, or any third-party service.

How It Works

Three-stage engine: analyze the trend, filter through confluence, signal and manage.

1

SuperTrend + TQI Analysis

The engine starts with the Adaptive SuperTrend — but unlike the standard version, the ATR multiplier is dynamically modulated by the Trend Quality Index. When the TQI detects a strong, efficient trend (high Efficiency Ratio, positive momentum, clean structure), the bands compress closer to price to capture more of the move. When TQI detects a weak, choppy environment (low efficiency, high volatility noise, no clear structure), the bands widen to absorb noise and prevent premature flips. This adaptive behavior means the SuperTrend automatically becomes more sensitive in trending markets and more conservative in ranging ones — solving the core problem of static SuperTrend settings that work in one regime and fail in another.

2

Confluence Filtering

When the Adaptive SuperTrend flips direction on a confirmed bar close, the signal doesn't fire immediately. Instead, it passes through the confluence gate. Each enabled filter must agree: Is the EMA Cloud aligned with the signal direction? Is the ADX above the trending threshold? Does the higher-timeframe SuperTrend agree? Only when all enabled filters confirm does the signal pass through and appear on your chart. If even one filter disagrees, the signal is blocked — and that disagreement is logged in the dashboard so you can see exactly what prevented the trade. This is systematic quality control, not discretionary guessing.

3

Signal, Manage & Alert

Every signal that passes the confluence gate is rated (★ to ★★★), plotted on the chart with a clear BUY or SELL label, and accompanied by 3 ATR-based take-profit levels and a stop-loss. The comprehensive 3-column dashboard updates in real time showing the TQI score, market regime, confluence status, signal strength, RSI, session range, support/resistance proximity, and all active TP/SL levels with hit tracking. As each TP is hit, the dashboard marks it and an alert fires. All 11 alert conditions are ready for TradingView's native notification system — email, push, webhook, or popup. The entire trade lifecycle is managed from signal to exit, directly on your chart.

How to Take Perfect Non-Repainting BUY/SELL Signals

A step-by-step guide to using the Trend Quorum confluence system for maximum precision on every trade.

Step 1: Check the Dashboard

Before looking at any signal, glance at the 3-column dashboard in the top corner of your chart. The first column shows the TQI score — this tells you the quality of the current trend environment. A TQI above 0.5 means the trend is clean and directional, which is where the indicator performs best. Below 0.3, the market is choppy and you should be cautious or stand aside entirely. Next, check the Regime field — "Trending" is your green light; "Ranging" means the ADX is below threshold and the market lacks directional commitment. Finally, look at the Confluence section to see which filters are aligned and which are not. The dashboard gives you a complete environmental assessment before you ever consider a trade.

Step 2: Enable Your Filters

In the indicator settings, decide which confluence filters to activate. At minimum, we recommend enabling the EMA Cloud and ADX filter — these two alone eliminate the majority of whipsaw signals by requiring directional alignment and a trending environment. For swing trades or any position you plan to hold for more than a few hours, enable the Multi-Timeframe (MTF) filter as well. This ensures you're never fighting the higher-timeframe trend. Each filter you enable adds a gating layer — the signal must pass through ALL enabled gates to fire. More gates = fewer signals, but dramatically higher quality. Think of it as raising the admission standard for every trade you take.

Step 3: Wait for ★★★ Strong Signals

When a BUY or SELL signal appears on your chart, look at the star rating immediately. A ★★★ Strong signal means 4 out of 4 confluence factors agree — the SuperTrend flipped, the EMA Cloud confirms, the ADX confirms trending conditions, and the higher timeframe agrees. This is the highest-probability setup. A ★★ Medium signal means 3 out of 4 factors agree — solid, but one filter is marginal. These can still be traded, but consider reducing position size or tightening your stop. A ★ Weak signal means only 1 or 2 factors agree — the SuperTrend flipped but the broader environment doesn't support it. The star rating turns the abstract concept of "confluence" into a concrete, actionable number you can use for position sizing and trade selection.

Step 4: Confirm with Dashboard Context

Even with a ★★★ signal, spend 3 seconds checking the dashboard context. Is the RSI already in overbought territory (above 70) on a BUY signal? That could mean the move is extended and a pullback is imminent — consider waiting for a retest. Is the session range already 80% exhausted? The remaining potential move may be limited. Is price sitting right at a support/resistance level that could act as a barrier? The dashboard shows all of this at a glance, giving you the context to decide not just whether to trade, but how aggressively to trade. A ★★★ signal with RSI at 55 and a fresh session range is very different from a ★★★ signal with RSI at 78 and an exhausted daily range.

Step 5: Manage the Trade

Once you enter, let the indicator manage the exit. The 3 ATR-based take-profit levels are plotted automatically: TP1 is the conservative first target (partial profit), TP2 is the moderate target, and TP3 is the full runner for maximum extraction. A common approach: take partial profit at TP1 and move your stop-loss to break-even, take another partial at TP2, and let the remainder ride to TP3. The dashboard tracks each hit in real time, and alerts fire at every stage — TP1 Hit, TP2 Hit, TP3 Hit, and SL Hit. You can set alerts and walk away, letting TradingView notify you via email, push notification, or webhook as each level is reached. No screen time required after entry.

Don't trade ★ Weak signals. They fire because the SuperTrend flipped, but the filters disagree. That disagreement IS the information. When the EMA Cloud says the intermediate trend is still bearish but the SuperTrend just flipped bullish, that's not a "buy with caution" — that's a "the SuperTrend is catching a counter-trend bounce that will likely fail." The whole point of confluence filtering is to protect you from exactly these setups. Trust the system.

Who Is This Indicator For?

Trend Quorum is built for traders who want systematic, confluence-confirmed trend entries — not random SuperTrend flips.

📈

Trend Traders

The Trend Quality Index tells you when the trend is strong enough to trade — and when it's not. Instead of guessing whether the current move is a real trend or a choppy grind, the TQI gives you a quantified score from 0.0 to 1.0. Combined with the adaptive SuperTrend bands that tighten in trending conditions and widen in ranging ones, you get a trend-following system that automatically adjusts to market regime.

Scalpers

Use the built-in Scalping preset for faster parameters optimized for M1-M15 charts. The EMA Cloud provides rapid directional confirmation on lower timeframes, and the signal strength rating lets you instantly filter high-probability scalps from noise. Tight ATR-based TP levels match the compressed volatility of short timeframes, giving you precise exit targets for quick in-and-out trades.

🔄

Swing Traders

Enable the MTF confirmation filter to ensure your H1 or H4 entries align with the Daily or Weekly trend. The 3 TP levels give you a structured position management framework — scale out at TP1, move to break-even, extend to TP3 for runners. The Swing preset optimizes all parameters for multi-day holds, and the dashboard tracks every trade from entry to final target without requiring you to watch the chart constantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this indicator repaint?

Absolutely not. Trend Quorum generates BUY and SELL signals exclusively on confirmed (closed) bars using Pine Script's barstate.isconfirmed check. Once a signal appears on your chart, it will never disappear, move, or change — regardless of future price action. The Multi-Timeframe filter also uses lookahead: barmerge.lookahead_off to prevent any future data leakage. What you see in real time is exactly what you would have seen historically. This is critical for both live trading confidence and honest backtesting on historical charts.

What markets and timeframes does it work on?

Every market and every timeframe available on TradingView. The indicator works on Forex (GBPUSD, USDJPY, NZDUSD, etc.), Crypto (BTCUSD, ETHUSD, SOLUSD, ADAUSD, etc.), Stocks (NVDA, TSLA, GOOG, etc.), Indices (S&P 500, NASDAQ, DAX, etc.), Commodities (Gold, Silver, Oil, etc.), and ETFs. Timeframes range from 1-minute to Monthly. The ATR-adaptive SuperTrend bands automatically scale to match the volatility of whatever market and timeframe you're viewing — no manual adjustment needed. The built-in presets (Scalping, Swing, Crypto 24/7) further optimize parameters for specific use cases.

What is the Trend Quality Index (TQI)?

The TQI is a proprietary 4-factor composite score that measures the health and quality of the current trend in real time. It combines: (1) Efficiency Ratio — how much of the total price movement is directional vs. noise; (2) Volatility Regime — normalized ATR relative to recent history; (3) Price Structure — position relative to key moving averages; and (4) Momentum — rate and consistency of price change. The resulting score (0.0 to 1.0) is used to dynamically modulate the SuperTrend bands and is displayed on the dashboard for your reference. Above 0.5 = quality trend. Above 0.7 = strong, clean trend. Below 0.3 = choppy, unreliable environment.

How do the confluence filters work?

Each confluence filter is an independent gate that a signal must pass through before it appears on your chart. The EMA Cloud requires the fast/slow EMA pair to confirm direction (bullish cloud for BUY, bearish cloud for SELL). The ADX filter requires the Average Directional Index to be above your threshold (default 20), confirming a trending environment. The MTF filter requires the higher-timeframe SuperTrend to agree with the signal direction. When a filter is enabled, the signal MUST pass it. If even one enabled filter disagrees, the signal is blocked. You control which filters are active — enable one, two, or all three for progressive quality control. The dashboard shows exactly which filters are aligned and which are not.

What does the signal strength rating mean?

Every signal is automatically rated based on the confluence count — how many of the 4 factors (SuperTrend flip, EMA Cloud, ADX trending, MTF agreement) align. A 4/4 count = ★★★ Strong — all factors agree, highest probability setup. A 3/4 count = ★★ Medium — solid setup but one factor is marginal. A 1-2/4 count = ★ Weak — the SuperTrend flipped but multiple filters disagree. The star rating appears directly on the signal label on your chart. We recommend only trading ★★★ and ★★ signals, and avoiding ★ Weak signals entirely — the filter disagreement is telling you the setup lacks confirmation.

How do the alerts work?

Trend Quorum includes 11 distinct alert conditions that you set up through TradingView's native alert system. Open the alert dialog on any chart with the indicator applied, select the condition you want (Buy Signal, Sell Signal, Any Signal, Trend Change Bullish, Trend Change Bearish, TP1 Hit, TP2 Hit, TP3 Hit, SL Hit, TQI High, or TQI Low), and choose your notification method — email, phone push notification, webhook, or on-screen popup. Every alert includes a detailed message with signal direction, strength rating, TQI score, and all relevant price levels. Webhook alerts output structured JSON for automation integration.

How do I get access after purchase?

Trend Quorum is an invite-only indicator on TradingView. After your purchase, you'll receive an email asking for your TradingView username. Once provided, we'll add you to the indicator's access list — typically within a few hours. You'll then find the indicator in your TradingView "Invite-Only Scripts" section, ready to apply to any chart. No file downloads, no installations — it's added directly to your TradingView account.

Can I customize everything?

Yes — every parameter is fully configurable. You can adjust the SuperTrend ATR period and multiplier, TQI sensitivity, EMA Cloud periods, ADX threshold, MTF timeframe selection (auto or manual), TP/SL ATR multipliers, dashboard position and styling, and much more. However, for most traders, the 5 built-in presets (Auto, Scalping, Default, Swing, Crypto 24/7) provide optimized settings out of the box. The Auto preset detects your chart timeframe and adjusts parameters accordingly — so you can drop the indicator on any chart and start trading without touching a single setting.

Does it work on Heikin Ashi candles?

The indicator can be applied to Heikin Ashi charts, but be aware that Heikin Ashi candles use modified OHLC values (averaged open, close, and smoothed high/low), which will affect the SuperTrend calculation, ATR values, EMA Cloud levels, and TQI score. For the most accurate signal generation, confluence filtering, and TP/SL placement, we recommend using standard candlestick charts. If you do use Heikin Ashi, the signals will still be non-repainting and all features will function — but the absolute price levels and signal timing may differ from what you'd see on a standard chart.

Is this for MT4 or MT5?

Neither. Trend Quorum is built exclusively for TradingView using Pine Script v6. It is not compatible with MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. You need a TradingView account (free or paid) to use this indicator. TradingView is available as a web app and mobile app — no software installation required. The indicator is added directly to your TradingView account via invite-only access.

Ready to Trade with Confluence-Confirmed Precision?

Stop trading every SuperTrend flip and wondering why your win rate is below 50%. Stop stacking indicators that contradict each other. Stop guessing whether the trend is real or a choppy fake-out. Let Trend Quorum's 4-factor Trend Quality Index, EMA Cloud, ADX, and Multi-Timeframe confluence system filter every signal for you — automatically rating its strength, calculating your TP/SL levels, and alerting you at every stage. Trade fewer signals. Win more often. That's the power of confluence.
