Momentum Tidebreaker — Trade Only the Tides Worth Breaking.

The Momentum Tidebreaker is a non-repainting TradingView indicator that fires only when one of three independent momentum signal classes aligns — EMA Trend Cross, RSI Reclaim, or RSI Divergence — then anchors every signal with an ATR-based Stop Loss and two take-profit targets. Built in Pine Script v6. Invite-only access on TradingView.

How It Works

Three Tides. One Decision Engine.

Every signal Momentum Tidebreaker prints belongs to one of three independent classes — or, when two classes agree on the same closed bar, a Strong Signal fires.

Tide 1 — Trend Cross

EMA Crossover With Confluence

Fast EMA crosses slow EMA, and the bar closes with RSI on the right side of 50, momentum direction agreeing, and trend strength above the threshold. The classical breakout signal — with confluence filters that actually work.

Tide 2 — RSI Reclaim

Continuation Entry After Pullbacks

RSI crosses back through 50 in the direction of the EMA trend, with price on the trend side of the slow EMA. Catches the second leg of a move when momentum reclaims the midline — the entries you usually miss waiting for the next cross.

Tide 3 — Divergence

Reversal At Exhaustion

RSI divergence at oversold or overbought conditions, with the close decisively crossing back over the fast EMA. The reversal signal — promoted from a visual diamond into a real BUY/SELL with a full TP/SL package.

When Two Tides Align — STRONG Signals Fire.

If a Trend Cross and a Divergence print on the very same closed bar, Momentum Tidebreaker upgrades the entry to a STRONG signal and plants an amber star marker right above the BUY/SELL arrow. Separate alert. Separate row in the W/L tracker. The kind of confluence you usually only spot in hindsight — now firing as it happens.

Risk Architecture

Entry, SL, TP1, TP2 — Drawn Before You Trade.

Every signal automatically calculates four price levels from current ATR and your chosen risk-reward ratio. The lines extend forward, labelled and color-coded, the moment the bar closes.

TP2 +2R TP1 +1R ENTRY SL −1R BUY
  • EntrySolid white line at the closing price of the signal bar. Anchors the entire risk calculation.
  • Stop LossATR × SL multiplier (default 1.5). Adapts automatically to each symbol's volatility — tight on calm markets, wide on noisy ones.
  • TP1 — 1RFirst profit target at exactly the same distance as the stop. When price hits TP1, the line dims and the dashboard marks the trade as partial profit booked.
  • TP2 — Configurable RRSecond profit target at your chosen Risk:Reward ratio (default 2.0R). Hitting TP2 closes the trade, increments the Wins counter, and clears all drawings.

Questions, Answered

Everything You Want to Know.

Does the indicator repaint?

No. Every signal is computed on the closed bar only. Once a BUY / SELL triangle, TP/SL line or divergence diamond is drawn, it never moves or disappears. The non-repaint guarantee is enforced by gating every signal on barstate.isconfirmed in Pine Script v6.

Which platform is it for?

TradingView only. The indicator is built in Pine Script v6 and delivered as an invite-only script attached directly to your TradingView account. No standalone software, no installer, no MetaTrader.

What markets and timeframes work best?

Any market, any timeframe. The ATR-based risk system auto-scales to each instrument's volatility — Forex majors, exotic crosses, gold, silver, crude, crypto, indices, US stocks. We recommend H1, H4 and D1 for the cleanest signal density, but you can run it on M5 scalp setups too.

What are the three signal classes?

Trend Cross: Fast EMA crosses slow EMA + RSI confirms direction (RSI > 50 for buys, < 50 for sells) + optional momentum confluence + trend-strength filter. RSI Reclaim: RSI crosses 50 in the direction of the EMA trend with price on the right side of the slow EMA. Divergence: RSI divergence at OB/OS conditions with close back across the fast EMA. When Trend Cross and Divergence fire on the same bar, a Strong Signal star marker prints on top of the BUY/SELL triangle.

How is risk managed?

Every signal automatically draws four lines extending forward from the entry bar: Entry (white solid), Stop Loss (red dashed, ATR × SL multiplier — default 1.5), TP1 at exactly 1R (the same distance as the stop, in the profit direction), and TP2 at your chosen Risk:Reward ratio (default 2.0R). The dashboard updates Floating P&L in points and percent on every tick.

How does win-rate tracking work?

When price hits TP2, the indicator increments the Wins counter, clears the trade drawings, and updates the Win-Rate cell in the dashboard. When SL is hit, Losses increments instead. TP1 hits are tracked separately as partial-profit milestones — the TP1 line dims and a checkmark appears on the dashboard, but the trade stays open running for TP2.

How many alerts are there, and how are they delivered?

Nine alert conditions: BUY, SELL, STRONG BUY, STRONG SELL, TP1 Hit, TP2 Hit, SL Hit, Bullish Divergence, Bearish Divergence. Each one is routed through four configurable channels: in-terminal popup, sound, mobile push notification, and email. You toggle each channel independently with a checkbox input.

Where does the dashboard live on the chart?

Any of the four corners — Top Right, Top Left, Bottom Right, Bottom Left — via a single input dropdown. The 16-row panel shows Trend, Strength %, RSI + OB/OS state, Momentum, ATR (absolute + points), ATR % of price, Dist to Resistance, Dist to Support, plus a full Active Trade section with Direction, Entry, SL (with pt distance), TP1/TP2, Floating P&L, and Wins/Losses/Win-Rate%.

How do I get access on TradingView?

After purchase you submit your TradingView username via the access form on the download page. The invite-only script is added to your TradingView account within 24 hours. You then find it under Indicators → Invite-Only and add it to any chart.

What is the refund policy?

60-day money-back guarantee. If the indicator doesn't meet your expectations within 60 days, email [email protected] for a full no-questions-asked refund.
