Ichimoku is one of the most powerful charting systems ever created — but most implementations fail traders in critical ways.
Volatility-adaptive Ichimoku meets confluence scoring meets automated trade management — in a single professional TradingView indicator.
"Standard Ichimoku uses the same 9/26/52 periods whether you're on a 5-minute scalp or a Daily swing, whether the market is in a quiet consolidation or a volatile breakout. Kumo Forge Pro changes that. The ATR-based volatility engine scales all five Ichimoku periods dynamically — shorter in high-volatility environments for faster reaction, longer in low-volatility environments for smoother signals. The cloud itself adapts to the market in real time."
Kumo Forge Pro doesn't just draw an adaptive cloud — it builds a complete trading system on top of it. The indicator fires 5 distinct signal types (TK Cross, Kijun Bounce, Cloud Edge Bounce, Kumo Breakout, and Chikou Break), giving you far more opportunities than a standard TK-cross-only system. Every signal is scored by a 9-factor confluence engine that evaluates price position, TK alignment, Chikou confirmation, cloud direction, volume, momentum alignment, momentum acceleration, and optional RSI — producing a score from 0 to 110% so you know exactly how strong each setup is.
But the real power is what happens after the signal. Kumo Forge Pro instantly calculates 3 take-profit levels and a stop-loss using your choice of Kumo Edge, Kijun Level, or ATR-based modes. A 22-row real-time dashboard tracks everything live — signal details, confluence score, grade, R:R ratio, TP/SL progress, win rate, and multi-timeframe Ichimoku alignment across 3 configurable timeframes. And 23 alert conditions cover every event from individual signal types to TP/SL hits, trend changes, MTF alignment, and strong-signal-only filters.
Everything you need to detect trends, score signals, and manage trades with confidence.
The ATR-based volatility scaling system adjusts all 5 Ichimoku periods in real time. High volatility shortens the periods for faster response. Low volatility lengthens them for smoother signals. The cloud, Tenkan, Kijun, and Chikou all adapt simultaneously — no more static 9/26/52 settings that ignore the market you're actually trading.
Every signal is scored from 0 to 110% using 9 independent factors: price vs cloud position, TK alignment, Chikou confirmation, cloud direction, cloud thickness, volume confirmation, momentum alignment, momentum acceleration, and optional RSI. Scores above 70% are graded "Strong" — below 50% are "Weak." You decide your minimum threshold.
TK Cross (primary trend entry), Kijun Bounce (trend pullback), Cloud Edge Bounce (cloud support/resistance), Kumo Breakout (trend acceleration with volume), and Chikou Span Break (lagging confirmation). Five different entry angles mean you catch trends from every perspective — not just rare TK crosses.
Three take-profit levels and a stop-loss calculated automatically from your choice of Kumo Edge (cloud boundary), Kijun Level (dynamic S/R), or ATR multiples. The dashboard tracks each TP hit in real time and updates your trade status as levels are reached. No manual calculation, no guesswork.
A 22-row real-time panel organized into 5 groups: Market Data (price, spread, ATR), Ichimoku State (cloud position, TK alignment, Chikou, trend), Signal Details (type, score, grade, direction), Trade Tracking (entry, TP1-3, SL, R:R, win rate), and MTF Alignment (3 configurable timeframes with Ichimoku status).
Individual alerts for every signal type (10 entry signals), every TP/SL event (4 trade management alerts), every trend and MTF change (5 market state alerts), and strong-signal-only filters (2 quality alerts). Each uses TradingView's native alertcondition() — connect to email, push, webhook, or any notification method. JSON payload supported.
Three-stage engine: adapt to volatility, score every signal, manage the trade.
The volatility engine measures ATR over a configurable window and scales all Ichimoku periods dynamically. When ATR is high (volatile market), the Tenkan, Kijun, and Senkou periods shorten — giving you faster cloud response and quicker signals. When ATR is low (quiet market), the periods lengthen — producing smoother cloud edges and fewer false signals. The cloud, TK lines, and Chikou Span all adapt simultaneously. You get an Ichimoku system that responds to the market as it is right now, not as it was in 1960s Japan.
When any of the 5 signal types fires — TK Cross, Kijun Bounce, Cloud Edge Bounce, Kumo Breakout, or Chikou Span Break — the 9-factor confluence engine scores it from 0 to 110%. It checks whether price is above or below the cloud, whether TK lines are aligned with the signal direction, whether the Chikou Span confirms, whether the cloud is expanding or contracting, whether volume exceeds the threshold, whether momentum aligns with direction, whether momentum is accelerating, and optionally whether RSI supports the entry. Scores above 70% are graded "Strong," 50-69% are "Standard," and below 50% are "Weak." You set your own minimum score threshold — the indicator only plots signals that meet your quality standard.
The moment a signal fires, TP/SL levels are calculated from the cloud structure (Kumo Edge mode), the Kijun level (dynamic support/resistance mode), or ATR multiples — your choice. The 22-row dashboard updates in real time: showing the signal type, confluence score, grade (Strong/Standard/Weak), entry price, TP1/TP2/TP3 and SL levels, R:R ratio, and how many bars since entry. As each TP is reached, the dashboard marks it and an alert fires. The MTF panel shows Ichimoku alignment across 3 configurable timeframes at a glance. And 23 alert conditions cover every event — from individual signal types to trend changes, MTF alignment shifts, and strong-signal-only notifications.
Master the 5 signal types, read the dashboard for confirmation, and follow the perfect entry checklist for high-probability trades.
What it is: The Tenkan-Kijun crossover is the classic Ichimoku entry signal. When the faster Tenkan-Sen crosses above the slower Kijun-Sen, it signals bullish momentum. When it crosses below, bearish momentum. Kumo Forge Pro enhances this classic signal with full confluence scoring.
When it fires: A TK Cross Buy fires when the adaptive Tenkan crosses above the adaptive Kijun on a confirmed (closed) bar, the confluence score meets your minimum threshold, and all enabled filters pass (cloud thickness, volume, Chikou confirmation). A TK Cross Sell fires on the opposite crossover.
How to read it on the chart: TK Cross signals are marked with triangles and labeled "TK" on the chart. Buy signals appear below the bar, sell signals above. The label includes the confluence score percentage.
Best conditions: TK Crosses are strongest when price is already above the cloud (for buys) or below it (for sells). A thick cloud behind the signal adds support. Volume confirmation and Chikou confirmation significantly improve the win rate.
Dashboard confirmation: Look for Score 70%+ for high-confidence entries. Price "Above" cloud. Momentum "Accelerating." MTF alignment showing "ALL BULL" (for buys). These conditions together mark the highest-probability TK Cross setups.
What it is: In a confirmed uptrend (price above cloud, TK bullish), price pulls back to touch the Kijun-Sen — the adaptive equilibrium line — and bounces. This is a trend continuation signal, like buying a dip at dynamic support. The Kijun acts as a moving support/resistance level that adapts to volatility.
When it fires: A KB Buy fires when price touches or slightly penetrates the Kijun-Sen from above and then closes back above it in an established uptrend. A KB Sell fires on the opposite — price bouncing down from Kijun in a downtrend.
How to read it on the chart: Kijun Bounce signals are marked with "KB" triangle markers. Buy bounces appear below the bounce bar. Sell bounces appear above.
Best conditions: KB signals are strongest in clearly trending markets where the Kijun has a visible slope. Avoid KB signals when the Kijun is flat (horizontal) — a flat Kijun indicates consolidation, not trend, and the bounce is less reliable.
Dashboard confirmation: Check TREND row shows "Bullish" (for KB Buy). Cloud row shows "Above." Kijun is NOT flat. Momentum is at least "Bullish" — ideally "Accelerating."
What it is: Similar to the Kijun Bounce but uses the Kumo cloud edge as the support/resistance level. In an uptrend, if price pulls back to touch the top of the cloud (Senkou Span A or B — whichever is higher) and bounces, this signals trend continuation with the entire cloud structure as support behind it.
When it fires: A CB Buy fires when price touches the upper cloud boundary in an uptrend and closes back above it. A CB Sell fires when price touches the lower cloud boundary in a downtrend and closes back below it.
How to read it on the chart: Cloud Edge Bounce signals are marked with "CB" triangle markers on the chart, positioned at the bounce bar.
Best conditions: CB signals are strongest when the cloud is thick. A thick cloud means strong support/resistance — price is unlikely to break through. Check the dashboard: Cloud Thickness > 30 points is ideal. Thin clouds make this signal less reliable.
Dashboard confirmation: Check CLOUD row shows "Above" (for CB Buy). Cloud thickness is "Thick" (not "Thin"). TK alignment matches direction. Volume is "OK."
What it is: When price breaks through the entire Kumo cloud with volume confirmation, it signals a potential trend change or major acceleration. Breakouts above the cloud are bullish (BK Up), breakouts below are bearish (BK Dn). These are some of the most powerful Ichimoku signals because the cloud is the strongest support/resistance zone.
When it fires: A BK Up fires when price closes above the upper cloud boundary after being inside or below the cloud, and volume exceeds the configurable multiplier (default 1.3x the average volume). A BK Dn fires on the downside break. Retests of the cloud edge within 10 bars confirm the breakout.
How to read it on the chart: Kumo Breakout signals are marked with diamond shapes on the chart — visually distinct from the triangle markers used by TK, KB, and CB signals.
Best conditions: BK signals are most reliable when the cloud being broken is relatively thin (easier to break) and the volume spike is significant (1.5x+ average). A thick cloud breakout with massive volume is the highest-conviction setup.
Dashboard confirmation: Volume row should show "OK" (above threshold). Momentum should be "Accelerating." Watch for the retest confirmation within the next 10 bars — the dashboard will show "Retest Bull" or "Retest Bear" if confirmed.
What it is: A lagging confirmation signal. The Chikou Span plots the current close price displaced 26 bars back (adaptive in Kumo Forge Pro). When this displaced line crosses above past price action, it confirms that current momentum has overtaken the price from 26 bars ago — a powerful bullish confirmation. The opposite cross confirms bearish momentum.
When it fires: A CK Buy fires when the Chikou Span crosses above the price level from 26 bars ago. A CK Sell fires when it crosses below. This signal type is disabled by default — enable it in the settings if you want the extra confirmation layer.
How to read it on the chart: Chikou Break signals are marked with cross shapes on the chart. They tend to appear slightly after the initial move has started, which is by design — this is a confirmation signal, not a leading one.
Best conditions: CK signals are best used on higher timeframes (H4, Daily) where the lagging nature of the Chikou provides meaningful trend confirmation. On lower timeframes, the lag may cause late entries.
Dashboard confirmation: Check that the primary trend already aligns (TREND row: "Bullish" for CK Buy). Use CK signals as additional confirmation for positions entered on TK Cross or KB signals, rather than as standalone entries.
Consider a partial close to lock in profit. The dashboard updates to show "TP1+" and the status shifts to tracking TP2. Your R:R goes positive. If using the Kumo Edge or Kijun SL mode, your stop may tighten automatically.
Close more of the position or begin trailing your stop aggressively. The dashboard shows "TP1+ TP2+" and tracks the final target. Most of your planned profit is now secured.
Full target reached. The trade has completed its entire planned move. The dashboard marks the trade as fully complete and updates the win rate counter. Maximum planned profit extracted.
The loss was defined from the start — no surprises. Risk was controlled by the TP/SL system. Check the win rate on the dashboard to see your overall performance. A single loss in a system with 60%+ win rate is just part of the process.
Kumo Forge Pro is built for traders who want a systematic, adaptive Ichimoku framework — not just lines on a chart.
If you already trade with Ichimoku, Kumo Forge Pro upgrades your entire system. Adaptive periods replace static 9/26/52 settings. Confluence scoring replaces guesswork. Automated TP/SL replaces manual calculation. And a 22-row dashboard replaces the mental load of interpreting 5 lines simultaneously. Everything you love about Ichimoku — but smarter.
Five signal types catch trends from every angle — initial entries (TK Cross), pullback re-entries (Kijun Bounce, Cloud Bounce), breakout acceleration (Kumo Breakout), and lagging confirmation (Chikou Break). Whether you trade the initial move, the pullback, or the breakout, there's a signal type designed for your approach. No more waiting weeks for a single TK cross.
The built-in MTF panel shows Ichimoku alignment across 3 configurable timeframes at a glance — right on your chart. No switching between tabs. No juggling multiple windows. When all three timeframes show "BULL" (or "BEAR"), you have the highest-conviction setup. This single feature eliminates hours of manual chart analysis every week.
With 23 individual alert conditions, you can set notifications for exactly the events you care about. Only want TK Cross alerts when the score is 80+? Set the Strong Buy alert. Only care about Kumo Breakouts? Set those individually. Want to know when all MTF timeframes align? There's an alert for that too. Trade from your phone without watching charts.

Absolutely not. Kumo Forge Pro generates all signals exclusively on confirmed (closed) bars using Pine Script's barstate.isconfirmed check. Once a signal appears on your chart — whether it's a TK Cross, Kijun Bounce, Cloud Bounce, Kumo Breakout, or Chikou Break — it will never disappear, move, or change regardless of future price action. What you see in real time is exactly what you would have seen historically. This is critical for both live trading confidence and honest backtesting.
Every market and every timeframe available on TradingView. The indicator works on Forex (EURUSD, GBPUSD, GBPJPY, etc.), Crypto (BTCUSD, ETHUSD, etc.), Stocks (AAPL, TSLA, NVDA, GOOG, META, etc.), Indices (S&P 500, NASDAQ, DAX, etc.), Commodities (Gold, Silver, Oil, etc.), and ETFs. We recommend M15 and above for the best signal quality — the adaptive cloud engine and confluence scoring work optimally with sufficient bar data. The ATR-based volatility scaling automatically adjusts all Ichimoku periods to match whatever market and timeframe you're viewing.
Kumo Forge Pro includes 23 distinct alert conditions built with TradingView's native alertcondition() function. Open the alert dialog on any chart with the indicator applied, select the condition you want — from individual signal types (TK Cross Buy, Kijun Bounce Sell, Kumo Break Up, etc.) to trade management events (TP1 Hit, SL Hit) to market state changes (MTF All Bullish, Trend to Bearish) to quality filters (Strong Buy 80+, Strong Sell 80+). Choose your notification method — email, phone push, webhook, or on-screen popup. Webhook payloads include JSON data for automated trading integration. You can set multiple alerts simultaneously to cover every event in a trade.
Kumo Forge Pro is an invite-only indicator on TradingView. After your purchase, you'll receive an email asking for your TradingView username. Once provided, we'll add you to the indicator's access list — typically within a few hours. You'll then find the indicator in your TradingView "Invite-Only Scripts" section, ready to apply to any chart. No file downloads, no manual installation — it appears directly in your TradingView account.
Standard Ichimoku uses fixed periods — 9 for Tenkan, 26 for Kijun, 52 for Senkou Span B — regardless of market conditions. These static settings were designed for 1960s Japanese equity markets and don't adapt to modern Forex, Crypto, or Stock volatility. Kumo Forge Pro's adaptive engine measures the current ATR (Average True Range) over a configurable window and dynamically scales all 5 Ichimoku periods. In high-volatility environments, periods shorten for faster cloud response. In low-volatility environments, periods lengthen for smoother signals and fewer false positives. The result is an Ichimoku cloud that responds to the market as it is right now — not as it was 60 years ago.
The confluence score is a proprietary 9-factor quality rating system that evaluates every signal from 0 to 110%. The 9 factors are: (1) price vs cloud position, (2) TK line alignment, (3) Chikou Span confirmation, (4) cloud direction/expansion, (5) cloud thickness, (6) volume confirmation, (7) momentum alignment with signal direction, (8) momentum acceleration, and (9) optional RSI confirmation. Each factor contributes points. Scores above 70% are graded "Strong," 50-69% are "Standard," and below 50% are "Weak." You set your own minimum threshold — the indicator only plots signals that meet your quality standard. This eliminates the guesswork of "is this a good signal or not?"
TK Cross — Classic Tenkan-Kijun crossover, enhanced with confluence scoring. Primary trend entry signal. Kijun Bounce (KB) — Price pulls back to the Kijun-Sen and bounces. Trend continuation/pullback entry. Cloud Edge Bounce (CB) — Price pulls back to the cloud boundary and bounces. Strong support/resistance entry. Kumo Breakout (BK) — Price breaks through the cloud with volume confirmation. Trend change or acceleration. Chikou Span Break (CK) — Lagging confirmation when Chikou crosses past price. Optional confirmation signal. Together, these 5 types cover entries, pullbacks, breakouts, and confirmations — giving you far more opportunities than a TK-cross-only system.
Yes — Kumo Forge Pro has 35+ input parameters. You can adjust the ATR volatility window, the scaling sensitivity, the base Ichimoku periods, the minimum confluence score threshold, individual signal type toggles (enable/disable any of the 5 types), volume multiplier thresholds, TP/SL mode (Kumo Edge, Kijun, or ATR), ATR multipliers for each TP level, dashboard position and size, MTF timeframe selections, RSI toggle and period, color schemes for bullish/bearish elements, and more. The defaults are tuned for general-purpose use across multiple markets, but power users can fine-tune every parameter to match their specific strategy and style.
The indicator can be applied to Heikin Ashi charts, but we recommend using standard candlestick charts for the most accurate results. Heikin Ashi candles use modified OHLC values (averaged), which affects the Ichimoku period calculations, cloud positioning, and ATR values used for volatility scaling. The signals will still be non-repainting and the adaptive engine will still function, but the absolute price levels for TP/SL and the cloud boundaries may differ from what you'd see on a standard chart. For professional trading, standard candles provide the most reliable signal generation and level placement.
Neither. Kumo Forge Pro is built exclusively for TradingView using Pine Script v6. It is not compatible with MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. You need a TradingView account (free or paid) to use this indicator. TradingView is available as a web app and mobile app — no software installation required. The indicator leverages TradingView-specific features like request.security() for multi-timeframe analysis and native alertcondition() for the 23 alert conditions.
Stop using static 9/26/52 settings that ignore market volatility. Stop guessing which Ichimoku signals to trust. Stop calculating your TP/SL manually on every trade. Let Kumo Forge Pro adapt the cloud to current conditions, score every signal with 9-factor confluence, calculate your levels automatically, and alert you across 23 conditions — all non-repainting, all adaptive, all in one professional indicator.
